Véronique Routhier

Founder of the Clinic Arthrite & Plus

Physiotherapist (BSc PT) graduated from the University of Ottawa (2007)

From the start of my career, I have always been passionate about neurology, chronic diseases and geriatrics.

I have worked since 2007 at Montfort Hospital as a physiotherapist on the medicine units, short-term rehabilitation unit as well as in several outpatient clinics of the hospital with postoperative clients, at the chronic disease management clinic and also at the knee and hip replacement clinic (Arthroplasty clinic). It was while working at the Arthroplasty Clinic (2010-2020) that I found a passion for arthritis patients. I realized that there were few community resources available to clients when the “arthritis” diagnosis fell.

It is therefore my mission, in the Outaouais region, to begin my physiotherapy practice so that people with arthritis can enjoy a quality of life that reflects their image!

This program can be done 1 to 1 or in small groups (maximum 4 people at a time)

It aims, among other things, to facilitate the management of osteoarthritis, to slow its progression, to improve the state of health of clients (improvement of function and reduction of pain), to reduce the need to replace joints or to use stronger medication (e.g. opioids) etc.

The GLA:D Program is based on proven evidence-based treatment frameworks and the latest clinical evidence.
